EUSA-SUSA meeting held in Ljubljana
On 23rd of April, a working meeting was held between representatives of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA), at EUSA headquarters in Ljubljana.
The working meeting was attended by the newly elected SUSA President Mr Klemen Kristan, SUSA Secretary General Mr Jan Sredenšek and EUSA Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik.
On the meeting, representatives from SUSA presented the structure of the National University Sport Association and the foreseen activities and endeavours that will be taken with the new elected leadership for the next 4 years.
The meeting also involved discussion on possible ways on improvement of the collaboration. Special note during the meeting was given on the discussion around the foreseen attendance of athletes and officials from Slovenian universities taking part in the European Universities Games 2024 in Debrecen and Miskolc, which counts around 100 participants in total.
The great results of the Slovenian student – athletes during the European Universities Championship season of 2023 were also pointed out.
Discussed was also the progress of the organisation of the European Universities Championship in 3x3 Basketball that will be held in Ljubljana from June 28- July 2, 2025.
